Frequently asked questions
We're one of the last fully Australian-owned surf brands left. While Quiksilver, Rip Curl and Billabong sold off to overseas corporations, we stayed independent, family-run and focused on making gear for people who actually live the surf lifestyle. No boardrooms, no shareholders - just a crew that surfs before work and designs clothes they'd wear themselves. We've been doing this since 1969.
Every piece is designed at our Australian HQ and manufactured by our long-standing production partners in Indonesia. We've worked with the same factories for years because quality matters to us. You're getting premium surf clothing without the inflated price tag that comes with big corporate overheads.
On par or better - and we're not just saying that. We use premium cotton for our tees, quality cord and twill for our shorts, and breathable linen cotton for our shirts. The difference is we don't charge you extra to cover massive marketing budgets and sponsorship deals. You're paying for the product, not the billboard.
Absolutely. We've got five stores across Australia's best surf towns - Noosa Heads (our flagship, dubbed the Temple of Stoke), Byron Bay, Manly, Flinders on the Mornington Peninsula, and Seminyak in Bali. Walk in, try things on, have a chat with the crew. If you're not near a store, our size guide is detailed and we offer 30-day returns if the fit isn't right.
Always has been. Our iconic logo has represented both men and women since 1967 - Golden Breed was built for everyone before that was a marketing buzzword. We carry full men's and women's ranges plus kids, and plenty of our customers shop across both. The surf doesn't care what you wear, and neither do we.
Yes - most popular styles come back regularly. We restock based on demand, so the pieces you love usually return in the same colours plus new ones. The best way to know the second something's back is to join our email list. Our restock emails are our most popular sends for a reason.
The Floyd Walkshort is our most iconic short - it sells out every drop. The 70's Ringer Tee is a cult classic that's been going since the beginning. Our Hawaiian shirts are a summer staple, and the Lazy Beach swim range has a growing following. Check out our Best Sellers for Men and Women to see what's moving right now.
