What materials are Golden Breed's retro style tees made of?
Most of our retro tees are made of high-quality, 100% cotton, making them comfy and breathable. We try to use the same feel and texture as the classic t-shirts from the 70s, 80s and 90s era.
How do I care for my 100% cotton tees?
Faded colors are our vibe, so although they're colour fast, you can definitely expect a bit of fade in our retro t-shirts. All of our clothing is preshrunk, but being cotton, t-shirts will tighten after every wash and then relax once you're wearing them. We recommend washing them in cold water with similar colors and avoiding harsh detergents or bleach. Try not to tumble dry them, but if you do, throw them on low heat. Avoid ironing directly on any printed or embroidered designs to prevent damage.
Are your retro vintage surf tees able to be tumble dried?
It's best to follow the care instructions on the tag of each t-shirt, but in most cases, we'd recommend air drying your clothes rather than throwing them in the dryer.
Do you distress your fabric at all before you sell Golden Breed retro shirts?
Although that's a trend, we are an icon of surf industry fashion, so we like to give you high-quality graphic tees, with plenty of stretch, loose fitting styled shirts designed for comfort and a product that's not going to fall apart in the wash.
Can I buy Golden Breed Tees and sweatshirts in Melbourne anywhere?
We have a surf shop in Flinders that you can drop into if you'd like to try before you buy.
Are your retro t shirts unisex? or are there styles for men and women?
You'll find our women's retro tees here, but most women like a loose fitting men's tee too. We offer unisex designs with a relaxed fit as well as fitted styles specifically for women. Just make sure you check our size guide and product descriptions to make sure you're getting the right fit.
What is your return or exchange policy?
We want you to be 100% happy, so we've got a 45 day returns policy in case you getting the sizing wrong. Check out our size guide first before you order online, or drop into one of our stores.
Does a vintage t-shirt need extra care when washing?
Good question, but Golden Breed's nostalgic vintage vibes are more of an aesthetic with 70s retro style graphic designs, as opposed to being a tee that's actually old. Our tee shirts are easy to wash, but It's best to read the instruction for washing instructions.
Are your guys t-shirts designed for wearing in the ocean as a rashie?
Many surfers do, and they seem effective, but no, our tees aren't designed to get salty.
