Published Last Modified

Are you ready? The Noosa Festival of Surfing, the world’s famous longboard contest is about to start. If you’re in Noosa between 10th-17th  March, stop by Main Beach  for a chance to see some of the best longboarders in the world riding the iconic First Point.

This year’s edition brings back some classic categories such as Golden Breed Noserider Pro and Women and Men over 55,  as well as new categories like Ladylogger Pro and expression sessions - And, of course, our beloved surfing dogs. Be prepared, dear reader! The forecast is promising some epic surfing conditions, not seeing in years during the competiton time. Get your eyes and cameras ready, because you’re about to witness some serious surfing.

The Festival that has been running for nearly 27 years, brings some interesting changes for 2018’s edition: the whole event is going completely plastic bottles-free, providing  the crowd with several water stations so everyone can stay hydrated without harming the ocean.  In the year that Noosa was chosen as 10th World Surfing Reserve – along with places such as Santa Cruz and Malibu, in California -  sustainability is an essencial matter that is being taken really seriously by the organisation.

And it’s not only of sand and salt water that we live of! Every night you can enjoy free live music and good entertainment. Check out what suits you best at http://www.noosafestivalofsurfing.com/2018-entertainment/

And while the Festival runs, stop by our Golden Breed Beach Tent to grab some of the official NFOS merchandise and have a look at our surfboards, we have all the surf gear you need

As we all here in Noosa like to say, get ready for 8 days of pure stoke!
